Here is our Digital Art Gallery
Over the past few weeks we have been using various apps and software to edit and manage photos. We've used various apps on iPads, Pixl Express in Google Chrome, Google Photo, Pixl Editor, Picassa and more..
Here is our Digital Art Gallery
Today we have been looking at how Google Photos work. Jenny and Mr Bolton have shown lots of examples of how the google photos app can be used. How work at school can be saved onto google photos and shared at home. How to keep all your photos for school in one place and synchronised.
Today the Digital Leaders have been finishing of their forms. They have learnt how to branch the form for Yes/No questions to display different questions. They have shared the forms, learnt how to generate stats from the results and learnt how to customise their own forms.
Today I've been teaching the Digital Leaders how to create a Google Form. They are really easy to create and have so many uses: Questionnaires, evaluation, data entry, feedback forms, quiz and so on...
We only had 15 minutes to create a form but they have created some good forms already and we will finish them off next week....
The digital leaders have been using Weebly to create their own websites. They all individually chose their own theme and layout. They've created several pages, with information about what we've learnt in DL and / or their ICT lessons this school year. They all seemed to really enjoy being web designers and have done a great job on their websites.
Some of the things they have done:
They are really fantastic but as they are quite personal and have their pictures on there, we can't share them publicly, but here are a few screen shots of their website.
Next Tuesday 10th February 2015 is International Safer Internet Day 2015 the hashtag on twitter for this event is: #SID2015
We decided in Tuesday's #DigitalLeader meeting that we would create our own video to promote the event. The girls from Year 4 Birch worked with Jenny Tuesday afternoon on the ideas and scripts.
Wednesday morning we filmed all our individual parts on the green screen using the Veescope Live APP, here is the link for those who want to give it a go at home: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/veescope-live/id568390801?mt=8
All you need is a green background, this app on a iPad and a friend to hold the iPad while you record you film. You can then have any background you like, still or moving, you will see both in our finished movie.
Our year 6 Digital Leaders are now expert produces and users of the Veescope app and they helped each year group make their own little movies.
For such a short turn around they have done an amazing job to create a movie that is now 8 and a half minutes long.. There's just a couple of little tweeks we are going to make on Monday, ready for the movie to be screened at the School assembly on Tuesday for Safer Internet Day.
If anyone feel inspired to have a go at home with green screen, especially if it is somehow related to Safer Internet Day, please share your master pieces with Jenny, and they could even get put onto the school youtube channel,
Our Digital Leaders have been creating some helpful screencasts to help you learn how to do the following:
You can watch all our video's from the Giles Brook YouTube Channel:
We hope you find them useful.
