Here are a few photos from the leavers disco from July 2016.
Year 3 invited parents into school today to share their new skills of modelling sculptures, our lovely year 3 parents we having as much fun as the children, including a few concentration faces.
Tuesday 12th April, the Milton Keynes Music Faculty came into school, to give an assembly for all children in year 3, 4 and 5. They were promoting a new initiative to students, to take part in a special 'Endangered Species' project starting in September 2016. Here are some photos and the leaflets with more information.
Monday afternoon the whole school enjoyed watching the Year 3 and Year 4 Production of Pirates and Mermaids. Parents will enjoy watching their children's performance, they have worked very hard on it and they look great in their costumes.
Today is #GBSScienceDay and the children are having lots of fun throughout the school working on all kinds of different experiments. We are lucky to have Tracey Bailey helping us from Cranfield University and Mrs K. Enser from Shenley Brook End School. Year 4 have welcomed parents and family in this afternoon to see their Egyptian museum. They have loved sharing all their hard work and songs. This video for Safer Internet Day was sent in by one of our students who had created at home using her own green screen that she recent got for her birthday, as she'd had so much fun creating them at school. Lovely to see our students creating such great work in their own time. If anyone else has anything to share, please send it to Jenny. Thank you to PC Horspool for coming in on Safer Internet Day to talk to our year 5 and 6 children. We also invited parents to come along and listen and it was nice to see so many parents there. PC Horspool talked about all the issues regarding staying safe online, the issue with certain apps, websites, online games, digital devices while out. After the children went back to class, the adults then spoke with PC Horspool about their concerns. A big concern they had was the online version of Minecraft and how children can enter peoples worlds and can then communicate with them. It appears there is no way setting any kind of parental control or the children being able to only select their friends. The whole school are doing something for Safer Internet Day 2016 @SID2016MK #SID2016 @ecadets We will add pictures to this blog through the day. Year 6 #SID2016Year 6 had some great discussion about staying Safe on the internet this morning. We loved their honesty when talking about how much free access they have to the internet, where and when they access it, what they do on it. They created some great Mind Maps about how they use the internet. We hope these conversations will carry on at home tonight with their family. |
