Our Learning Behaviours
Our learning behaviours help children become successful learners both inside and outside the classroom.
- Keep trying, even when things are hard.
- Try different ways to solve a problem if the first way doesn’t work.
- Understand mistakes help me to learn.
- Bounce back and keep going after something goes wrong.
- Stay positive and look for ways to solve problems or difficulties.
- Take on challenges.Â

- Keep your mind open and look for answers.
- Respect other people’s opinions and ideas.
- Think carefully about what others say before agreeing or disagreeing.

- Approach challenging tasks with focus and perseverance.
- Get my equipment ready for lessons without being reminded e.g. pencils, books, P.E kit etc.
- Remember to consistently bring in your reading book, homework book, library book and P.E kits.
- Completing homework activities on time.
- Mastering practical skills like tying shoelaces, zipping up coats etc.
- Showing initiative by moving on to a challenge or acting on feedback without needing prompts.
- Take turns when sharing ideas or resources.
- Listen respectfully to others’ ideas and opinions.
- Work together with a partner or small group to complete a task.
- Take on different roles in a team, such as leader, recorder or helper.
- Negotiate and compromise when disagreements arise.
- Help and support my classmates when they need it.
