Wraparound Care
Extended School Provision
Giles Brook School runs Breakfast, After School and Sports Clubs daily to support working parents and childcare requirements and to provide important enrichment which is available to all children.
We try to accommodate the requirements of our parents by offering ad-hoc booking of clubs with no capped numbers. Parents can book/cancel up to 24 hours before the session starts and, in the event of an emergency or an unplanned delay, we will do everything we can to accommodate children in our clubs.
We welcome the use of Childcare Vouchers as payment for all clubs.
All children attending any clubs should complete a registration form on this link: Registration form
Breakfast Club
Breakfast club runs daily from 7.45am until the start of school
A hearty well-balanced breakfast is offered every day. Children can choose from, amongst other things, cereal, toast (with various spreads), yoghurts and juice/milk as well as fresh fruit.
Every day an additional 'special' is also available such as muffins, bagels etc. We cater for any allergies and offer different types of products to suit.
Parents should speak to the school office to discuss any specific requirements relating to allergies or intolerances.
We request that children are brought into the breakfast club by 8.20am if they require breakfast.
As well as games and toys, weather permitting, children are also offered the opportunity to spend time outside to get some fresh air and exercise.
All sessions should be booked and paid for online and in advance
After School Club - Sunset Club
Children attending Sunset Club enjoy many activities. Where possible the children are encouraged to play outside and take part in sports or outside games. They also have access to IT, arts and crafts, reading books and a wide variety of games, construction materials and imaginative play.
Parents can choose from two Sunset Club Sessions:-
- Early session:
End of school until 4.30pm - Late Session:
End of school until 6.00pm
We ask parents to collect promptly by these times.
The school reserves the right to charge £1 per minute for late collection.
Children are offered a drink and a small snack when they arrive in club and those staying for the late session enjoy a light tea of, for example, pasta, soup, beans on toast, sandwiches etc. Fresh fruit is always available. We also cater for children with allergies.
If parents have any queries, please contact the school office on office@gilesbrook.co.uk
